Make the most out of old books! Turn them into a book wrapper … for you should never judge a book by its cover 😉
Your thriving book collection is one of a kind? But still there are some books you wish you hadn’t bought or been given to? Books whose covers are so bizarre, you might find them almost beautiful again but which you’d never ever be reading? If you’re answer is yes, give these books a new purpose … a second chance if you will. All you need is an old book (best use a paperback), some fabric in the colour of your choosing, as well as sewing cotton, sewing needles, tailor’s chalk, a notebook, wool, some buttons, a crotched hook, crimp beads, dressmaking shears, a dressmaker’s ruler and a triangle ruler.
You can download the instructions here … if you like, take a look at the pictures I made while sewing my own book wrapper:
Try it yourselves! Leave me some comments or even pictures of your own crazy book wrappers! I’d really love that!
